Delhi Police Tighten Security Ahead of CJP October 10 Protest

The Cockroach Janta Party wants to hold a protest in Delhi on October 10.

The police have not yet given permission for it.

Police are preparing by watching roads into the city and checking buses that might bring people to the protest.

They say they have identified about 2,800 people with alleged criminal records and are monitoring their movements.

Around 4,000 police personnel are being deployed.

Police have also asked for help from Central Armed Police Forces.

They are preparing in case the crowd is large or people do not leave when asked.

The police are also discussing whether stadiums could be used as temporary detention places.
