Chandigarh University Launches “Quantum for Bharat” Mission; Aims to Make India a Global AI and Quantum Computing Hub · theprint.in

Chandigarh University in Uttar Pradesh held a big meeting called the AI Convergence Summit 2026.

They talked about how India can become a leader in AI and Quantum Computing.

They also started a hackathon where young people worked on solving healthcare problems using AI.

The university launched two big plans: Quantum for Bharat to train people in Quantum Computing and AI for ALL to teach everyone about AI.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also had a meeting with Indian AI startups.

These startups are making tools to help with things like diagnosing diseases, predicting crop yields, and teaching in different languages.

India is working hard to become a big player in AI, which could add a lot of money to the country's economy and create many jobs.

There will be another big meeting in February to talk more about AI and how to use it in different areas.
