Bengaluru Police Seek Body Warrants to Probe Jail Mobile Racket
The Bengaluru police have found a lot of mobile phones inside the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison, which is not allowed.
They have caught 127 phones in two months and made 25 official reports.
The police think some prisoners, like Bonda Manja, are running a secret phone business from inside the jail.
They even caught a woman trying to sneak a phone into the prison.
The police are now using special permits to question the prisoners and are checking the phones to find out who is helping them.
The prison is also adding more security, like drones, to stop this from happening again.
Some people living near the prison say the signal blockers inside the jail are making their phones not work, which is causing problems for them.
Bengaluru police have seized 127 mobile phones and registered 25 FIRs in two months.
Body warrants have been obtained to question inmates allegedly involved in a mobile phone racket.
Bonda Manja, a prisoner with over 20 cases, is among those suspected of operating the racket.
A recent incident involved a woman attempting to smuggle a mobile phone into the prison.
Prison authorities are intensifying security measures, including considering drone deployment.
