Calcutta University reviews infrastructure for NEP UG programme

This program, part of the National Education Policy (NEP), lets students do research in their fourth year.
Students can also leave after three years with an honours degree.
The university is making sure colleges have what they need for research.
They are also preparing for admission tests for students who want to join master's programs.
Some colleges, especially in South 24-Parganas and Hooghly, don't have the right facilities.
The university plans to give clear rules for postgraduate admissions by mid-January 2024.

Students can exit after three years with an honours degree or complete four years with a research component.
