Mumbai’s civic body wants to build 15 new public toilet blocks.

The project is expected to cost ₹15.30 crore.

The toilets will be built in western parts of the city.

They are meant for commuters, tourists and local residents.

Men and women will have separate facilities.

The blocks will also include features for people with disabilities and transgender users.

Some facilities will save water, use solar panels and sell sanitary napkins.

The work is expected to finish within 18 months.
