India Unveils Dhruv64 Indigenous Microprocessor

India has created its first homegrown microprocessor called Dhruv64.

This chip is special because it is a 64-bit, 1.0 GHz, dual-core processor, which means it can handle a lot of tasks very quickly.

It was made by a group called C-DAC as part of a government program to make India less dependent on foreign technology.

The Dhruv64 can be used in many areas, like computers and defence systems.

India uses a lot of microprocessors, so having its own chip is a big deal.

It will help the country's technology industry and reduce the need to buy chips from other countries.

There are also plans to make even better chips in the future, like Dhanush and Dhanush+.
