The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a third person in a case involving a ₹3-crore cheating scam related to a defence project.

The accused, Vivek Kumar Gautam Singh, is alleged to have been part of a conspiracy to cheat a company called Tutek Vision Industries.

The company was promised a sub-contract for a defence project near Poisar Metro Station in Kandivali but was allegedly duped out of ₹2.97 crore.

The main accused, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, and another accused, Jawahar Singh, were arrested earlier.

The police are investigating whether the accused received financial benefits and if there were any security implications.

The case involves charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, and criminal intimidation.
