Bhopal Police Limits Welfare Branch Postings to Five Years
The Bhopal Police have made new rules for their Welfare Branch.
From the New Year, no police officer can work in the Welfare Branch for more than five years in total.
They can stay in one posting for a maximum of three years.
This is to stop problems like money scams and to make sure there are enough police officers in other important jobs.
The Welfare Branch helps police families with loans, medical bills, and other support.
Now, only family members who need jobs can work in places like canteens and petrol pumps run by the police.
Also, only a few police officers can be assigned to these places to keep the numbers balanced.
Bhopal Police Headquarters has limited Welfare Branch postings to a maximum of five years during an officer's entire service.
Personnel currently serving in the Welfare Branch for more than three years will be replaced.
Only unemployed family members dependent on police families will be employed in Welfare Branch-operated facilities.
No new constables will be posted in the Welfare Branch.
Staff limits have been set for canteens (3 personnel) and credit societies/petrol pumps (2 personnel).
