Finite series format could draw actors back to TV: Mahajani
An actor named Gashmeer Mahajani talked about his new television show.
The show is called "108 Base Hospital – Uri".
It tells the story of army doctors who help wounded soldiers.
The doctors are also humans with families and feelings, just like everyone else.
Gashmeer plays a doctor named Major Aniruddh.
The show has only 30 episodes, so the story is planned and not stretched out.
Gashmeer thinks shorter shows like this can bring actors who left TV back to it.
The actors trained for about 15 to 20 days to learn military rules and how to handle guns.
The show was filmed in a place called Bhaderwah in Kashmir.
It starts on August 15 on COLORS and JioHotstar.
Actor Gashmeer Mahajani believes the 30-episode finite series format could encourage actors who left television to return to the medium.
His upcoming show "108 Base Hospital – Uri" celebrates the unsung bravery of army doctors.
The series follows doctors, nurses and medical personnel treating wounded soldiers so they can return to the frontlines and their families.
Mahajani plays Dr Major Aniruddh, with Erica Fernandes starring as Dr Major Naina in the show shot in Bhaderwah, Kashmir.
"108 Base Hospital – Uri" premieres on August 15 and airs Saturdays and Sundays on COLORS and JioHotstar.
