Finite series format could draw actors back to television: Actor Gashmeer Mahajani · theprint.in

An actor named Gashmeer Mahajani talked about his new television show.

The show is called "108 Base Hospital – Uri".

It tells the story of army doctors who help wounded soldiers.

The doctors are also humans with families and feelings, just like everyone else.

Gashmeer plays a doctor named Major Aniruddh.

The show has only 30 episodes, so the story is planned and not stretched out.

Gashmeer thinks shorter shows like this can bring actors who left TV back to it.

The actors trained for about 15 to 20 days to learn military rules and how to handle guns.

The show was filmed in a place called Bhaderwah in Kashmir.

It starts on August 15 on COLORS and JioHotstar.

Actor Gashmeer Mahajani interviewed by PTI

“"In 30 episodes, the content remains intact, you don’t need to play around things because it’s planned in a certain way and is going to end in those many episodes and that there’s no need to stretch the story because you already have the story in place."”

“"I believe that this entire endeavour should work. It will set a very good precedent in the industry and a lot of actors who are away from TV will once again prefer to do TV because it’s an interesting format."”
