BJP Plans ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ for Modi’s Birthday
The BJP is planning activities for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17.
BJP president Nitin Nabin asked people to light a lamp called the ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ at home between 6 p.m.
and 7 p.m.
The lamp is meant to show blessings and wishes for Modi’s long life and good health.
The BJP will also hold a month-long campaign called the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.
It will run from September 17 to October 17.
The campaign will include blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, marches and motorcycle rallies.
The BJP says the activities will celebrate Modi’s public-service journey.
Nabin also praised programmes for women and young people, including Lakhpati Didi and startup initiatives.
His statements about development, security and Naxalism represent the BJP’s view.
