Hitachi Energy India shares jump 11% on strong Q1 results
Hitachi Energy India makes equipment that helps countries use electricity in smart, clean ways.
The company just told everyone how much money it earned in the first three months of its new financial year.
It made much more money than it did one year ago — more than twice as much profit.
That made people who buy and sell shares in the company very happy.
On Monday, the price of one share went up by more than 11 percent.
The company also received lots of new orders from customers who want to buy its machines.
These new orders helped the company build the biggest pile of future work it has ever had.
The company's leader, N Venu, said the good results happened because more people want clean energy.
India is trying to build lots of solar and wind power in the coming years.
That means the country will need many more smart power machines, which is good news for Hitachi Energy India.
Hitachi Energy India shares rose more than 11% on Monday, 10 August, after its Q1 FY27 results were released.
Consolidated net profit jumped to ₹294 crore from ₹131.6 crore in the same quarter last year, a more than twofold increase.
Revenue from operations grew to ₹2,493.7 crore from ₹1,478.9 crore a year earlier.
The company booked orders worth ₹5,096.5 crore in Q1 FY27, lifting its order backlog to a record ₹32,222.1 crore.
Management sees growth opportunities in AI data centres, smart grids, battery energy storage systems and EV infrastructure as India targets 900 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by FY36.
