MPs Told to Avoid Smart Devices in Parliament
The Lok Sabha Secretariat, which manages the lower house of India's Parliament, has asked all MPs not to use certain smart devices inside the Parliament building.
These devices include smart glasses, cameras hidden in pens, and smartwatches.
The reason is that these gadgets could be used to secretly record or take pictures, which might invade the privacy of other MPs and break the rules of Parliament.
The secretariat sent a notice reminding MPs that many advanced devices are now available and can be misused.
They asked MPs to be careful and not use these devices in any way that could compromise security or privacy.
Lok Sabha Secretariat urged MPs to avoid using smart spectacles, pen cameras, and smart watches in Parliament.
The notice cited concerns over privacy and parliamentary privileges.
The secretariat highlighted the availability of advanced devices that could be misused.
