First Indian Couple Marries at Pyramids of Giza

Dr. Monica Nayyar and Vivek Nandha are a London-based Indian couple who made history by getting married at the Great Pyramids of Giza in September 2025.

They are the first Indian couple and only the third globally to have a wedding at this iconic site.

Dr. Nayyar is a cosmetic dentist, and Vivek Nandha works as a Vice President at JPMorganChase.

Their wedding was a four-day celebration that included a Haldi ceremony, a traditional Hindu wedding, and a grand finale at the Giza Plateau.

The couple had to follow strict rules to protect the site's sanctity, such as not having a wedding cake or fire for the ceremony.

Their wedding was a beautiful blend of ancient and modern cultures, with guests enjoying a dinner at the foot of the Sphinx and launching paper lanterns into the night sky.
