Kareena Kapoor in Talks for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Dhanush Film
A famous Indian movie actress named Kareena Kapoor might finally work with a famous movie director named Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Many years ago, Mr. Bhansali asked Kareena to be in a movie called Devdas.
But later, he gave the role to another actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Kareena was very upset and said she would never work with him again.
That was about 25 years ago.
Now, news reports say Mr. Bhansali has asked Kareena to be in his new movie with actor Dhanush.
The movie is a big adventure set in a jungle with mythological ideas and an elephant in it.
Kareena is still thinking about it and hasn't decided yet.
If she says yes, it will be the first time the two work together.
Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly in talks to play the female lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming production starring Dhanush, which would be their first-ever collaboration.
The reported collaboration could end a roughly 25-year professional rift between the actress and filmmaker.
The rift stems from Devdas: Kareena was screen-tested and signed, but the role went to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Kareena later said she would never work with Bhansali.
The untitled project is described as a large-scale mythological adventure set in a jungle, reportedly revolving around an elephant, with Bhansali producing and P. S. Mithran directing.
The project is in the writing stage, with filming expected to start in January 2027, and Kareena has reportedly shown interest but has not made a final decision.
