Mizoram CM Promotes State for CSR Investments
The Chief Minister of Mizoram, Lalduhoma, said that his state is a great place for companies to invest in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) projects.
He explained that Mizoram is peaceful, has low corruption, and people are very helpful and kind.
The Chief Minister launched a new website called 'Mizoram CSR Connect' to help companies and organizations work together on CSR projects.
He promised that all the money spent on these projects will be used wisely and transparently.
The website is expected to make it easier for companies to do CSR work in Mizoram and ensure that their money is used well.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that Mizoram received only a small part of India's total CSR spending last year, and he hopes this new portal will change that.
Mizoram's peaceful environment, low corruption, and high literacy make it ideal for CSR investments.
The Mizo cultural concept of tlawmngaihna emphasizes selflessness and hospitality, enhancing the state's appeal for CSR.
The Mizoram CSR Connect portal was launched to facilitate CSR initiatives and ensure transparent, impactful utilization of funds.
Mizoram received only 0.06% of India's total CSR expenditure in 2023-24.
The CSR Cell was established in the Chief Minister's Office in June 2024 to strengthen CSR-related initiatives.
