Asian Winter Games 2029 Postponed Indefinitely
The Asian Winter Games 2029, which were supposed to be held in Saudi Arabia for the first time, have been postponed.
The organizers, OCA and the Saudi Olympic Committee, said they need more time to get the ski resort ready.
This resort is part of a big project called Neom.
Even though the games are postponed, Saudi Arabia will still host some smaller sports events to help athletes and officials get better.
India has never won a medal in these games but sent many athletes to the last event in China.
It's not clear yet if the 2029 games will be held in Saudi Arabia or moved to another place.
The Asian Winter Games 2029, scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia, have been postponed indefinitely.
The postponement was announced by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee on January 24, 2029.
The decision follows concerns about the readiness of the Trojena ski resort, part of the Neom mega-project.
Saudi Arabia will host standalone sports events in the interim to promote winter sports and athlete development.
