US Sues Pennsylvania Landlord Over Tenant Sexual Harassment

US Sues Pennsylvania Landlord Over Tenant Sexual Harassment

This story is about a landlord in a place called Pennsylvania, in the United States.

A woman who rented a home from him says he behaved badly toward her.

She says he touched her in ways she did not want.

When she told him no, he stopped helping her with things in her house.

Her heater broke in the middle of winter, and he did not fix it, so it even caught fire.

The government says landlords are not allowed to do this, and there is a law called the Fair Housing Act that protects renters.

Some special investigators looked into what happened, and then the government decided to take the landlord to court.

The court might make the landlord pay money to the woman and her children.

It might also tell him he is not allowed to treat renters this way again.

The government's lawyers say this kind of behavior is against the law.
