SC Raps Ex-TDB Member in Sabarimala Gold Theft Case
The Supreme Court of India scolded a former member of the Travancore Devaswom Board, KP Shankardas, for his involvement in the Sabarimala gold theft case.
The court said he couldn't avoid responsibility because he had signed important meeting notes.
Shankardas asked the court to remove some parts from a judgment by the Kerala High Court, but the Supreme Court said no.
The court believes these parts are important for the investigation.
The Supreme Court reprimanded KP Shankardas for his role in the Sabarimala gold theft case.
Shankardas was held responsible for signing the minutes of Devaswom Board meetings related to the case.
The court declined his plea to remove five paragraphs from a Kerala High Court judgment.
Shankardas claimed the paragraphs were made without hearing his side and could prejudice the investigation.
The court emphasized that Shankardas could not evade responsibility in the matter.
