Nirav Modi Denied Bail Again Over Flight Risk Concerns
Nirav Modi, accused of a major bank fraud, was denied bail by a UK court for the tenth time.
The court believes Modi is a flight risk, having twice concluded there's evidence against him.
Modi is accused of orchestrating a scheme that caused PNB to issue fraudulent documents leading to money being taken from foreign banks.
Modi has been in custody since March 2019, fighting extradition to India.
Nirav Modi's tenth bail plea was rejected by the London High Court.
The court cited a high risk of absconding as the reason for denial.
The court stated there is a prima facie case against Modi.
Modi is the primary accused in the PNB fraud, valued at over Rs 13,800 crore.
Modi has been in UK custody since March 2019, fighting extradition to India.
