Some students were trapped under the broken building.

They called friends and asked rescuers to save them.

One student, Aditya Kumar, was rescued and taken to hospital in stable condition.

Another student, Neeraj Bawa, was also rescued with serious lower-body injuries.

At least five people had died by midnight.

Rescue workers used special devices to search for people beneath the rubble.

Officials said they were removing the debris slowly because survivors might still be inside.
