Tibet Opens Hotlines for Foreign Nationals Missing After Floods

A large natural disaster caused floods and mudslides in Tibet and nearby parts of Nepal.

The disaster damaged roads, bridges, and other important infrastructure.

Many people were reported missing on the Chinese side.

Tibet authorities created two phone lines that families can call at any time.

The lines use English, so people from other countries can seek information.

The Indian Embassy in Beijing shared the numbers.

Nepal also warned people that some rivers were still rising.

Rescue workers and people living near rivers were told to stay alert.
