The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust invests money that helps pay for the foundation’s charitable work.

In the second quarter of 2026, it owned shares in 24 companies.

Together, those investments were worth about $34.4 billion.

Berkshire Hathaway was its biggest investment, but the Trust sold part of that holding.

Caterpillar, Canadian National Railway, and Waste Management were also very large investments.

The Trust bought new shares in Home Depot and FedEx Freight.

Some smaller investments were in companies such as Coupang, McDonald’s, and On Holding.

The list shows that the Trust spreads its money across many different kinds of businesses.
