ITC Q1FY27: Profit Down 16%, Revenue Up 28%
ITC is a big Indian company that sells cigarettes, food, paper, and other things.
In the first quarter of its 2027 financial year, it made less money than the same period last year, losing about 16% of its profit.
But it sold more products, so its total sales went up by almost 28%.
The biggest jump was in cigarette sales, which grew 80%.
Even though the company earned less, it still made a lot of money.
The company said the drop in cigarette profit was because of new taxes and a pricing strategy.
ITC’s consolidated net profit fell 16.2% YoY to ₹4,394.13 crore in Q1FY27.
Revenue rose 27.6% YoY to ₹29,523.30 crore, largely driven by an 80.6% jump in cigarette sales.
EBITDA dropped 24% YoY to ₹5,181 crore, and standalone profit fell 27% YoY to ₹3,579 crore.
The cigarette segment saw a 35% decline in profit before tax, while FMCG‑others revenue grew 12% YoY.
Agri business revenue fell 17% YoY due to West Asia conflict, but underlying growth was 9% after adjustments.
