Explosives Seized in Rajasthan and Assam
Police in two different places in India found a lot of explosives just before Republic Day.
In Rajasthan, they found more than 10,000 kg of a chemical called ammonium nitrate and other things that can be used to make bombs.
They caught a man named Suleman Khan, who has been in trouble before.
The police think he might have been selling these things to people who do mining.
In Assam, police found 10,000 detonators at a train station.
They caught a man named Akhil Ali.
Both of these finds made the police very worried, so they are checking everything very carefully to make sure everyone is safe.
Police in Rajasthan seized 9,550 kg of ammonium nitrate and explosive accessories in Nagaur district on January 25, 2024.
Suleman Khan, a resident with three previous criminal cases, was arrested at the scene.
Preliminary investigation suggests Khan was supplying explosives to people involved in mining activities.
In Assam, Railway police arrested Akhil Ali with 10,000 non-electronic detonators at Badarpur Railway Station on January 23, 2026.
Security has been tightened in both regions ahead of Republic Day.
