Former Indian Navy Officer Re-Arrested in Qatar
A former Indian Navy officer named Purnendu Tiwari was arrested again in Qatar.
He was first arrested in 2022 with seven other officers, but they were released and returned to India in 2025.
Tiwari couldn't go back because of a different legal problem.
His family is very worried and has asked the Indian Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister to help bring him home safely.
They say he has only been able to talk to them twice recently, and they want the government to act quickly to get him out of jail.
Former Indian Navy officer Purnendu Tiwari re-arrested in Qatar for a separate financial case.
Seven other officers were released and returned to India in February 2025.
Tiwari's family has appealed to PM Modi and FM Jaishankar for help.
