Nifty Companies Report 18% Profit Growth In Q1 FY27
Many big companies in India are making more money than they did last year.
A report says their profits grew by 18 per cent, which is the best growth in two and a half years.
The report came from a company called Motilal Oswal Financial Services.
Almost half of the companies did better than experts expected.
Small companies grew their profits even faster than big ones.
Some fuel-selling companies did not do well because oil prices were high.
Experts are feeling more hopeful about the future.
They raised their predictions for how much money companies will make next year.
This is good news for people who invest in these companies.
Nifty companies reported 18 per cent year-on-year growth in profit after tax (PAT) in Q1 FY27, the highest in 10 quarters.
The Motilal Oswal Financial Services report said 19 sectors exceeded expectations, with the earnings upgrade-to-downgrade ratio turning positive at 1.5 times.
Large-cap earnings grew 21 per cent, mid-cap earnings rose 23 per cent to an 11-quarter high, and small-cap earnings grew 31 per cent.
48 per cent of companies beat PAT estimates while 25 per cent missed; among large caps, 57 per cent topped estimates.
