CDSCO Warns About Painkillers That May Affect Kidneys

Some pain medicines can affect the kidneys.

This does not mean people should be afraid of every painkiller.

They should check what ingredients their medicine contains.

They should avoid taking medicines that contain the same type of painkiller together.

They should not take a larger dose or use the medicine for longer without asking a doctor.

People with kidney disease or other risks should tell their doctor before using NSAIDs.

If pain keeps returning, a doctor should look for the cause.

Taking another tablet again and again may only hide the problem.
