Election Commission Dispute Fuels Memes Over Gyanesh Kumar’s Role
A report said there may be disagreements inside India’s Election Commission.
The disagreement involved Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi.
Social media users quickly made jokes, cartoons, and edited pictures about it.
Some memes suggested that Gyanesh Kumar was making decisions without the other commissioners.
Other memes accused him of helping the Bharatiya Janata Party, although the article presents this as an online claim.
One cartoon showed the commissioners in an autorickshaw.
Another showed 14 objections being thrown into a dustbin.
The memes also used a Kolkata flood image, the film Ishq, and the commission’s logo.

Several memes portrayed Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar as controlling the commission’s decisions.
Other posts mocked claims that Gyanesh Kumar was helping the Bharatiya Janata Party win elections.
