Ex-Accountant Booked for Allegedly Embezzling Rs 51 Lakh from Hotel Chain
Imagine a hotel had a money box, and the person in charge of putting the money in the bank took some for themselves.
That's what happened at a hotel near the Statue of Unity, where the accountant, Ravikiran Tiwari, is accused of taking over 51 lakh rupees instead of putting it in the bank.
The hotel manager noticed the money wasn't showing up in the accounts, even though it should have.
When they asked the accountant, he said there was a technical issue.
But when the issue remained unresolved, the manager went to the police.
Now, the police are investigating and have charged the former accountant with stealing from the hotel.
Former accountant Ravikiran Tiwari is accused of embezzling Rs 51.34 lakh.
The alleged embezzlement occurred at a five-star hotel chain near the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar.
The discrepancy was discovered during an audit of the 2023-24 financial year balance sheets.
Tiwari claimed the missing funds were due to a pending online tag.
