Opposition Protests NCPI Invitation to All-Party Meet
Some opposition leaders in India were upset because a new political group called NCPI, which has some members who used to be in another party, was invited to a meeting.
The opposition thinks this group shouldn't be there because their merger hasn't been officially approved.
They walked out of the meeting for a short time to show their protest.
The NCPI, however, is happy to be part of the meeting and is waiting for the approval of their merger.
The opposition also has other issues they want to talk about, like a temple donation scam and some exam leaks.
Opposition leaders briefly walked out of an all-party meeting to protest the invitation of the NCPI, which includes rebel MPs from the Trinamool Congress.
The opposition argues that the NCPI's merger with the rebel MPs has not been approved and thus should not be part of the meeting.
The NCPI, led by Lok Sabha MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, thanked the government for the invitation and is awaiting merger approval from the Speaker.
The opposition plans to raise several issues, including the Ram temple donation scam, NEET paper leak, agriculture, E20 blend in petrol, and delimitation.
The all-party meeting was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh ahead of the Monsoon Session.
