Christ University Advances Backlog Exams for 13 Law Students

Thirteen law students at Christ University had unfinished exams called backlogs.

Some students did not get the minimum marks in subjects from their first or second year.

Others reportedly had six to eight papers still pending.

ABVP activists went to the university’s Ghaziabad campus to ask for the students to be promoted.

About 20 to 25 activists entered the campus on August 21.

After the protest, the university agreed to advance the students’ backlog exams.

The university also said that the same promotion and backlog rules applied at all six of its campuses.

The report does not say whether the students were formally promoted.
