Trump Links 9/11 Memorial to Ongoing Iran War

Donald Trump attended a ceremony remembering the people killed on September 11.

The ceremony took place at the Pentagon, where names were read and a bell rang after each name.

Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks in New York, at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania.

Trump said Americans became united after the attacks and must always remember them.

He then said the country fights today because it has no choice.

Trump connected that message to the ongoing conflict with Iran.

He warned that Iran should not be allowed to get a nuclear weapon.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also said Iran had threatened Americans for many years.

Reports differed over whether Trump’s remarks were a defense of the war or simply a statement about national security.
