Pregnant Tigress Zeenat Monitored in Similipal National Park
Zeenat, a tigress who had previously traveled through multiple states, is thought to be pregnant.
Scientists believe this because they observed her mating with a wild male tiger.
She was released back into the wild after a period in an enclosure.
They're using special cameras and teams of people to watch her.
If she is pregnant, Zeenat is expected to have her cubs around August or September!
Tigress Zeenat is suspected to be pregnant after mating with a wild male tiger (T12).
Zeenat was released back into the wild on April 17th after a period in a soft enclosure.
Mating with T12 was recorded in May using thermal cameras.
Monitoring teams and GPS tracking are continuously observing Zeenat.
Zeenat is expected to give birth by August or early September.
