India-Bangladesh Border Sees Highest Infiltration Attempts

The Indian government shared information about people trying to cross the borders illegally.

They said that the border with Bangladesh has the most attempts, with over 1,100 tries and 2,556 arrests from January to November 2024.

Since 2014, there have been more than 8,500 attempts and over 20,800 arrests across all borders.

The border with China has had no such cases since 2014.

The borders with Pakistan, Myanmar, Nepal, and Bhutan also have some attempts and arrests.
