BIAL Raises ₹9,000 Crore via NCDs for Airport Expansion
BIAL, which runs the Bengaluru airport, has borrowed a large sum of money by selling bonds called NCDs.
They got ₹9,000 crore to help make the airport bigger and better.
This also helps the company save money and plan for the future.
They are splitting the money raising into two parts.
The first part was done in July, and the second will be done in October.
The company's CFO said this strengthens their financial position.
This benefits passengers and airlines through better infrastructure.
BIAL raised ₹9,000 crore through Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs).
The funds will be used for expansion and capital structure enhancement.
The transaction includes refinancing and cost savings.
₹4,362 crore was completed on July 25, 2025, and ₹4,638 crore is planned for early October 2025.
SBICAPs was the sole arranger for the issuance.
