Bengaluru Rider Escapes Tanker After Bike Falls Into Pothole
A man named Sourabh was riding his motorcycle on a badly damaged road in Bengaluru.
The road was covered with rainwater and had very deep potholes.
His motorcycle fell into one of the potholes.
A large water tanker then moved toward the motorcycle and drove over it.
Sourabh quickly jumped away, so the tanker did not hit him.
The motorcycle was crushed, and Sourabh was very frightened.
Reports say the tanker driver did not have a driving licence, and the tanker may not have had a registration number.
Police received a complaint and reportedly arrested the driver.
A commuter said people had repeatedly warned authorities that the road was dangerous.
Sourabh Agrawal, a Walmart employee, was riding through a waterlogged stretch near Gunjur when his motorcycle fell into a pothole.
A nearby water tanker appeared to lose balance or fail to notice the rider before running over the motorcycle.
Agrawal jumped or moved away from the bike just in time and was not injured, though he was left shaken.
Reports say the tanker initially continued driving before stopping about 200 metres away; the driver was later arrested after a complaint.
The driver allegedly lacked a licence, while the tanker reportedly had no visible registration number; commuters also cited months of unresolved road complaints.
