AI Helps Solve Delhi Murder
A woman named Rachna Yadav was shot and killed near her home in Delhi.
The police used special computer tools to make blurry videos clearer and found three men who did it.
One of them, Bharat Yadav, had been hiding since 2023 and was involved in the murder of Rachna's husband.
The other two, Nikhil and Sumit, were caught with him.
Rachna was going to talk in court about her husband's murder, and some people didn't want her to.
The police worked hard to find the men using these computer tools.
Rachna Yadav, a 44-year-old RWA president and AAP worker, was shot dead near her residence in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi on January 10, 2026.
The Delhi Police used AI tools to enhance blurred CCTV footage, leading to the identification and arrest of three men: Bharat Yadav, Nikhil, and Sumit.
Bharat Yadav, a long-time fugitive, allegedly orchestrated the killing and was involved in the murder of Rachna's husband in 2023.
Rachna was set to testify against the men who murdered her husband, leading to speculation that her murder was to prevent her from testifying.
The suspects were arrested after the police improved the quality of the CCTV footage using multiple AI-based applications.
