Supreme Court to Hear TMC Plea Against ED Account Freeze
The Supreme Court will listen to a request from the Trinamool Congress, a political party in India, to undo a decision that stopped them from using three bank accounts.
The Enforcement Directorate, a government agency, froze the accounts because it thought money might have been moved illegally.
The court said it could not decide if the money was legal yet, so it did not give the party relief.
The party says the freeze was unfair and part of a political attack after a change in West Bengal’s government.
The case will be heard by a bench of two judges on Monday.
