Mumbai’s BMC Special Schools Empower Children with Intellectual Disabilities

Mumbai has 19 special schools that help kids who need extra help with learning.

Kids are tested to see what kind of help they need and then put in a school that fits them.

Instead of just studying math and reading, they learn how to take care of themselves, talk to others, and do everyday tasks.

The schools give everything for free, like clothes and books, and even have rooms where kids can get therapy.

Teachers sometimes have to teach many kids, but the kids help each other and volunteers also support them.
