SBI Card Ends Air Accident Insurance, Revises Payment Rules
SBI Card is changing the rules for some of its credit cards.
They're stopping the free air accident insurance that some cardholders had, like the Elite, Miles Elite, Miles Prime, Prime and Pulse cards.
Also, how your payments are used and how much you have to pay each month will be different.
This means some cardholders may need to pay more each month, and should find new insurance options.
SBI Card is discontinuing air accident insurance coverage for select credit cardholders.
The ₹1 crore coverage is ending for Elite, Miles Elite, and Miles Prime cardholders on July 15, 2025.
₹50 lakh coverage for Prime and Pulse cardholders also ends on the same date.
Changes include a new payment settlement hierarchy and revised Minimum Amount Due (MAD) calculations.
The new MAD calculation will include more components, potentially increasing the minimum payment.
