GHMC Plans Activities to Improve Swachh Survekshan Rankings
The GHMC in Hyderabad is planning a month-long campaign to make the city cleaner and improve its rankings in the Swachh Survekshan 2025.
They will start with teaching people about composting and how to separate waste.
They will also talk to groups like resident welfare associations and schools to spread awareness.
Later, they will encourage offices to adopt the reduce-reuse-recycle concept and set up centers where people can donate unused items.
They will also choose special people called 'swachh ambassadors' to motivate others to keep the city clean.
Additionally, they will turn some dirty spots into nice selfie points and install eco-friendly banners to warn people against littering.
Towards the end of the month, they will focus on cleaning public toilets and water bodies.
GHMC plans month-long activities from December 1 to improve Swachh Survekshan Rankings 2025.
Awareness programs on home composting and source segregation for SAT drivers scheduled from December 1-7.
Meetings with RWAs, SHGs, and awareness activities in schools and commercial stretches planned for the first week.
Corporate offices to be encouraged to adopt the reduce-reuse-recycle (RRR) concept from December 8-12.
