Pakistan Signs Kuwait Defence Deal Amid Gulf Security Push

Pakistan and Kuwait have agreed to work more closely on defence.

This follows similar defence cooperation involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

Pakistan is offering soldiers, training and other military support to Gulf countries.

Gulf states are looking for more protection after Iranian strikes.

Pakistan needs money and energy supplies, so it hopes this cooperation will bring investment and security.

Army chief Asim Munir was involved in discussions with Kuwait’s delegation.

Kuwait might eventually ask Pakistan to send many troops and military systems.

However, it is not yet clear whether that larger deployment will happen.
