Ahmedabad Tourist Paints Body In Tricolour At Srinagar's Lal Chowk

India has a very special holiday called Independence Day.

It celebrates the day India became free from British rule a long time ago, on August 15, 1947.

This year, on August 15, 2026, India is celebrating its 80th Independence Day.

A man named Arun Haryani travelled all the way from the city of Ahmedabad to a famous place called Lal Chowk in Srinagar.

He wanted to show how much he loves his country, so he painted his whole body in the colours of the Indian flag.

These colours are saffron, white, and green.

He also waved the Indian national flag and carried small national emblems.

Many people at Lal Chowk noticed and were happy to see his unique patriotic outfit.

Lal Chowk is a historic and important place in Jammu and Kashmir where the flag is often raised on national days.

Arun has been visiting Kashmir since 2022, coming back on special days like Independence Day and Republic Day to celebrate.
