Two British Doctors Arrested in UP for Illegal Entry from Nepal
Two people from Britain, who are doctors, were stopped by border police in India.
They had crossed over from Nepal.
The police checked their papers and found they didn't have the right permission, called a visa, to be in India.
They also couldn't give a good reason for coming in.
The doctors said they were invited to Nepal by a hospital.
The police arrested them and made a case against them for not following the rules about entering the country.
Two British passport holders, both doctors, were detained at the Rupaideha border in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh.
They were allegedly attempting to enter India illegally from Nepal.
The duo, Dr. Hassan Amman Saleem and Dr. Sumitra Shakeel Olivia, lacked a valid Indian visa and a satisfactory explanation for their entry.
