US Drillers Add Oil and Gas Rigs for Third Straight Week
Imagine there are companies that drill for oil and gas.
Recently, these companies have started adding more drilling rigs for the third week in a row.
This means they are getting ready to produce more oil and gas.
The number of rigs is the highest since July.
Even though there are more rigs now, the total number is still less than last year.
Experts believe the amount of oil produced will increase next year.
Also, gas prices are predicted to go up, so companies may drill even more for gas.
U.S. energy firms added oil and natural gas rigs for the third week in a row.
The total rig count rose to 542, the highest since July.
Oil rigs increased to 418, while gas rigs remained at 118.
The total rig count is still down 8% compared to last year.
Crude output is projected to increase to 13.4 million barrels per day in 2025.
