Mumbai Hotel Radha Licence Suspended After FDA Finds Hygiene Lapses

Mumbai Hotel Radha Licence Suspended After FDA Finds Hygiene Lapses

Food inspectors visited Hotel Radha in Mumbai on August 18.

They said they saw rats and cockroaches in the kitchen.

Some rats were reportedly entering through open drains.

Inspectors also found dirty equipment, rusty utensils, grease, and stagnant water.

Some food and equipment were kept where dust and dirt could reach them.

Because of these problems, the FDA suspended the hotel’s food licence.

This means the hotel must stop making, storing, selling, and distributing food under the order.

The inspection was part of wider food-safety checks across Maharashtra.
