Viasat Identified as Victim of Chinese Cyberespionage Operation

Imagine a company called Viasat that provides satellite services.

Some sneaky hackers from China, called Salt Typhoon, broke into their systems.

Viasat found out and says they've fixed the problem.

The hackers were trying to steal information.

They might have been targeting people who were involved in political campaigns.

The company says customers weren't affected.

U.S. officials have said that these hackers have targeted other telecom companies before.

The Chinese government denies these claims.
