Belapur Station Roads Face Lighting Gaps, Safety Concerns

Belapur Station Roads Face Lighting Gaps, Safety Concerns

Some roads near Belapur Railway Station are not bright enough at night.

Residents say these roads are used by many people walking to nearby homes and colonies.

They reported that four of six lights on one stretch do not work.

The other two lights are reportedly too dim to light the ground properly.

Women, students and people travelling alone are especially worried.

Police said they patrol the area but agreed that more light would help keep it orderly and safer.

Civic officials said most lights in Belapur work and that old lights on Income Tax Road will be replaced.

Residents want the broken lights repaired and all station approach roads properly illuminated.
