Karnataka Forms Committee to Resolve e-Khata Issues
In Karnataka, India, the government is creating a special team to fix problems with giving out e-Khata certificates in villages.
These certificates are important for people to show they own their homes.
Right now, many people don't have these certificates because of computer problems and missing records.
The team will look into these issues and suggest ways to make things better.
They also need to do this quickly, in just 10 days.
The team will also check if they can give out a different kind of certificate, called B-Khata, for homes that are not in the main village areas.
This is important because without these certificates, people can't get loans, fix their homes, or even sell their properties.
Karnataka to form a five-member committee to resolve e-Khata (e-Swathu) certificate issues in rural areas.
Committee headed by Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Secretary D. Randeep and CEOs of four districts.
Tasked with examining bottlenecks in the e-Swathu system and submitting a report within 10 days.
